  15. <p>     DIED. Gordon M. Buehrig, 85, legendary automobile designer;
  16. in Grosse Pointe, Mich. In the 1920s and 1930s Buehrig
  17. revolutionized the automobile's shape with his classic
  18. creations for the Duesenberg Model J and Auburn Boattail
  19. Speedster. In 1935 his design for the Cord featured front-wheel
  20. drive and flip-top headlights. He later devised and patented
  21. a T-top roof that became a popular accessory.
